This Chicago recording studio is nestled in Ravenswood / Lincoln Square neighborhood on Chicago's hot north side. Out of all the recording studio's Chicago has to offer, Second Floor is truly unique.

Richard Wiederer is the founder and president of Second Floor Studio Inc and the affiliated independent record label, Second Floor Recordings.

In the Second Floor environment, common ground can be shared with musicians who value the creative process. A team of two excellent studio engineer's, Krisoffer Haase and Brett Lischalk, will support you. Each in their own right offers substantial versatility and quality technical skills in their tracking, mixing and editing abilities. CD mastering is not offered. Second Floor Studio will facilitate mastering through a studio of your choice and guarantees an uninterrupted quality of transition through to the post-production experience.

One of Second Floor Studio 's main goals is to utilize a small team to ensure a qualitative streamlined process. During the recording process you can choose to work with either one or both of our studio engineers.

Our ultimate objective is to maximize and ensure our ability to reach the highest expectations you might have regarding both the artistic process and the finished product at Second Floor Studio .

The Studio is open to all genres of music. We welcome unsolicited demos. At Second Floor Studio your interests and artistic work will be valued.
